I rolled back into town this Sunday and I had to wonder … being an East Coast kinda gal, I simply had no clue Kentucky would be the Winter Wonderland it was! And driving out there on Friday … the snow blizzards I ran into near Wheeling, West Virginia made me wonder if we were, in fact, in Wheeling or more like Anchorage, Alaska.
The good, very good news is that I made it to the National Academy of Television Arts & Science (NATAS) Ohio Emmys in Hebron, Kentucky very safely; cold but safe and in once piece. Much of my body-intact-condition can be attributed to a wonderful chauffer, my husband. Without him, I’m not sure I could have made the long drive with out his good company, companionship and awesome in-the-snow driving skills (thanks, honey).
So I have to tell you … my speaking event for members of the NATAS Ohio Valley Chapter went very smoothly. It was a hit in fact. I say that not because I’m all that and a bag of chips (well, maybe :] ) … I say that because the attendees were very interested in the topic: The Digital Marketing Frontier.
The attendees were engaged and asked many questions, and the feedback I received post the event was positive. I am convinced the audience was and is very much interested in making the digital marketing space work for their local newsrooms and television stations.
I will be posting the presentation on this blog shortly, along with all my notes but for now, just wanted to check back in, say hi and let you know I was thinking about you marketing misfit readers, hoping all is well in your world, too.
Also working hot and heavy on my e-mail newsletter … lots of good stuff to share underway.
Stay tuned…
P.S. I had the opportunity to meet some really amazing, good people on this trip. By far, it was a great way to conclude my January 2009.
