Amidst the clutter of boxes from my impending move, I happily ignore the endless pile of weekend chores — if only for a while — to spend a portion of my Saturday with super social media star chef Tony Marciante of Visions Restaurant in Bethesda, Maryland.
So I’m off to learn how the owner and chef of a busy restaurant and small business is able to lead and manage a quite extensive and impressive social media presence. We’re talking online videos, blogs and the ubiquitous Facebook and Twitter!
Morever, Chef Tony’s marketing includes a microsite for his restaurant’s Lobster Palooza event.com, participating in local cooking shows and even a mobile marketing program (example: text the word “seafood” to 244326 to receive a $10 gift certificate)!
Clearly, this restauranteur has a clear marketing vision … and I’m off to learn more about it.
