A while ago you may (or may not) remember I had connected with *the* most social media savvy chef, Tony Marciante of Visions Bethesda … aka @cheftony.
Tony has been in the process of reinventing himself, his brand and his restaurant for the last year and we were fortunate to have been able to contribute a key component in the process: Tony’s new brand.
Here are some of the variations for the brand we created for stationary, direct mailer and even an email template (email template not shown below):
Shown above is our concept for the back of any post card direct mailings. Shown below is our letterhead and #10 envelope creative:
One of the goals was to create a look that was not only functional but whimsical, fun and still professional. I think we achieved that but not because I’m biased (well, yes that’s part of it LOL). Seriously, though, the reason I feel pretty confident we hit it out of the ball park with this brand design and concept is because Tony told us that everyone he showed his new brand to in his inner circle — you know, the peeps who will really tell you the truth (including his parents, btw) — just **loved** it.
We are so excited for Tony and his new-found focus. We have provided him with a solid brand foundation and now it’s up to him to give rise to his brand beyond the newborn stage.
I know Tony’s got some very B-I-G plans that exceed well beyond his restaurant’s front door…
By far, Tony has got to be *the* most technology-entrenched chef we’ve ever seen or have known and we are just giddy with excitement for his new outlook on his marketing, PR and social media presence.
Tony … we love you and wish you all the best!!!
And oh, btw, the “sort of” in our blog post title is cuz Tony may make some alterations to the brand … we are not sure yet how what we’ve generated will evolve but at least we turned over a solid foundation from which he can build from.
I guess we’ll all have to wait and see … Tony’s determined to launch everything in April so stay tuned.

Congrats to Chef Tony! I'm going to have to visit the restaurant again to help celebrate the relaunch! Last time the food was delish and Chef Tony was awesome!
I hope he considers keeping the mobile promotions. I loved that idea!
Mayra and Deanna – CONGRATS.
The Chef's "brand new brand" looks fantastic. It somehow inspires one to pinch the lobster's cheek in a friendly way. Is that TMI??
It looks really good, personable, engaging.
Terry, thanks for commenting here
Yes, I think that not only will Chef Tony keep the mobile coupons but will also dive deeper into mobile in 2010. I can't attest to his cooking LOL … I have never been a seafood type …. but I *can* attest to the chef … and he's very, VERY awesome. Just a good guy all around … kinda like you ??
Jill, we thank you very much for your kudos! And for the record … TMI is always welcome here
