websitelaunches.com will provide a focused stream of information relevant to web designers, web developers, online marketers, marketing researchers and industry consultants — for starters — seeking the latest in web site trends and competitive intelligence

Social tech and engagement marketing provider Ruiz McPherson Communications (RMC) will be launching their new, courtesy service — www.websitelaunches.com — by the end of September 2010.

websitelaunches.com is a microblog-inspired, custom application created to provide a unique, highly-niche service to prominently showcase and centralize information focused on B2B or B2C web site launches (and redesign makeovers) across a diverse array of industries. The idea behind this concept was to create a dedicated feed highlighting professional web site launches that can and will be easily accessed by interested parties via today’s most popular microblogging tool to date, Twitter®.

The application’s creator, RMC founder Mayra Ruiz-McPherson, was inspired to create the free PR tool for promoting site launches some time in 2009 when she sought to:

  • develop a service that would highlight recently-launched web sites as noteworthy accomplishments worth sharing with the public
  • create a new way for companies and professional organizations to plug their site launches in a relevant, highly targeted format
  • provide a means for web designers, PR agencies and other marketing professionals to have timely information on web site trends and site launch news they can incorporate into the marketing research aspects of most any web design or development project
  • offer a free, fun service for the public to share news about recently-launched B2B and B2C web sites around the world

The project is being developed in various phases:

  • Phase I, an open beta release, launching by September 27, 2010
  • Phase II will showcase the launch of a complementary blog component to debut by October 2010
  • Phase III will introduce monetization capabilities catering to advertisers seeking to market their products and services to a targeted group of digital marketers, bloggers, social media professionals and web site developers
  • Phase IV will unveil a shopping cart component allowing the public to purchase invaluable research “digests” or e-books compiling months of research related to industry-specific web site launch information to assist marketers, web designers, bloggers and content developers with relevant data on which web sites have launched within a given time period. These downloadable digests will also contain unique competitive intelligence and insight into web site trends currently unfolding in today’s fast-paced digital marketing world.

When asked about who would find this kind of “web site launch” news service to be of interest, Ruiz-McPherson states, “You’d be surprised. Almost daily, PR distribution sites showcase countless of press releases on this topic alone. Every single day, press releases posted on popular news distribution sites like PRNewswire and PRWeb describe new web sites that have just launched into the marketplace or highlight companies and organizations which have newly re-launched their sites to include new features and enhancements.”

Ruiz-McPherson adds, “Clearly, marketing departments across the planet feel compelled to communicate when they’ve launched a new web site and expend the time, effort, energy and resources to widely broadcast that news and information across numerous PR, social media and traditional marketing channels.”

In summary, Ruiz-McPherson and the RMC team believe that those who care most about information pertaining to web sites launching daily across the Internet are web designers, web developers, online marketers, marketing researchers and industry consultants — for starters — seeking the latest in web site trends and competitive intelligence. “These are highly interested parties for the kind of information our service amasses and our feed will provide.”

Ruiz-McPherson also believes that bloggers for hundreds of blogs or publications who are always seeking to highlight or feature interesting new sites and online services made available to consumers and the general public are key targets.”They, too, find web site launch-related information to be of high interest and greatly benefit from the timely and resourcefulness content such information brings to their attention.”
