As the former Executive Director of the Loudoun Literacy Council in Leesburg, Virginia, I am very proud to see this International Literacy Day initiative being promoted by Twitter.
Moreover, I’ve also had the incredible opportunity to not just visit various overseas countries but to actually live in them extensively. I can tell you, first hand, that literacy truly is an international cause needing — like many other worthy causes — immense and ongoing attention and support.
In support of this most worthy educational cause, our team has donated a $100 gift. Our $100 gift will be matched by $100 by the Aall Foundation. The combined $200 donation can yield up to 40 copies of “Unjani” to be enjoyed by the children of South Africa.
